What You’ll Learn

Intake

Participants and families will receive an overview of the program, our mission, and the support services we provide to help empower and uplift youth and young adults. They will learn about the different opportunities and resources available through our organization, including mentorship programs, pantry and food bank assistance, sponsorship opportunities, prom assistance, letters of recommendation, and additional community support services. Participants will also receive a tour of the program and have the opportunity to ask questions, meet staff, and better understand how the program can support their personal, educational, and life goals.

Building Identity and Confidence

Participants will explore self-esteem, friendships, communication, emotional wellness, academic growth, and leadership through interactive activities, discussions, journaling, and creative projects. Girls will learn how to recognize their strengths, set healthy boundaries, manage stress, make positive choices, and develop a growth mindset for success in school and everyday life. The curriculum also encourages leadership, community involvement, and goal setting while helping participants build resilience and confidence in who they are becoming.

Navigating Challenges & Preparing for the Future

Participants will develop healthy communication skills, learn how to build positive relationships and boundaries, and strengthen their emotional wellness through self-reflection and mindfulness activities. This group also focuses on academic and career readiness by teaching goal setting, time management, leadership, and professional communication skills. Participants will explore financial literacy, community impact, and personal growth while engaging in interactive discussions, creative activities, and mentorship support.

Becoming Leaders and Independent Adults

Participants will learn financial literacy, budgeting, saving, bill management, apartment hunting, career readiness, college preparation, leadership, and healthy relationship skills through interactive workshops and real-life activities. This group focuses on empowering young adults to make informed decisions, manage responsibilities, build confidence, and prepare for both personal and professional growth. Participants will also explore emotional wellness, communication skills, time management, and community leadership while learning how to navigate adulthood with purpose and resilience.
